Four Book Series to Climb Into

I love reading, especially books that I can't put down. Here are some book series I'm sure you will be hooked on.

The Heros of Olympus

This gripping series, written by Rick Riordan, is a sequel to the equally good Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. I love how both series are based on ancient Greek myths that are adapted to the present day. I especially appreciate this because of my passion for ancient history. There are five books in this series, each one as good as the last.

Wildwood Chronicles

A series, written by Colin Meloy, that will transport you to a forbidden wilderness called Wildwood were animals speak and coyotes wear uniforms. I have only read the first book of three but I loved it and I'm looking forward to reading the next two.

Faery Rebels & Ivy of the Delve

No rainbows. No pink. No sparkles. This series, written by J.R Anderson, break all the stereotypes of the typical faery which is exactly why they are one of my favourite books.

The Mysterious Benedict Society

Try and uncover the mystery of the Mysterious Benedict Society. Filled with morse code, challenging test, dangerous adventures and an evil villain I always enjoy reading these books.

I hope you love these books as much as I do.

Such fun!

Record player

I have been wanting a record player for a while and I finally got one. It all started when my mum gave me two of her old Beatle records from when she was my age, Let it be and Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The Beatles being my favourite band I was so excited and even though I had the albums on my playlist I was dying to listen to them. Call in the record player.

Of course I used it the minute I got it and I was both nervous and amazed. I actually couldn't believe it was working it made me think how much technology has changed so much.

Such fun!

The city

Today mum and I went out on a girly day to the city where we bought some lovely things.

First we went to Bloch (ballet heaven) to buy a new pair of pointe shoes for my intermediate foundation exam. After three years of wearing my old shoes it felt so good to wear a new pair. I also needed some new stockings and some not so necessary but wonderful leg warmers.

We had yum cha at The Phoenix which was delicious as always. Shopping wise I was on the hunt for a scarf and socks which I found in Sportsgirl and mum bought a stylish cardigan from Country Road. What I really want to share though is my new favourite store Lush. This place is all about using ethically sourced organic ingredients to produce beautiful effective products. They do not do any testing on animals and use gorgeous re-usable gift packaging. I love what this store is about and its products. To start my skin care collection I bought a bath bomb and a divine smelling bubblegum lip scrub which I can't stop using. I am looking forward to going back as soon as possible.

It was such fun!

HOORAY! magazine

On friday night mum, dad and I went to The Finders Keepers markets at the Australian Technology Park. It was packed to the roof and all the stores looked GORGEOUS! We took photos, shopped and had a great time.

The Sweet Little Posy Shop, Emily Green, Seventh Tree Soaps, The Little Mountain Lightbox Co, Miss Lilly, WOODFOLK Natural Accessories, bespoke LETTERPRESS couture stationery.

Going to the markets I was on a mission to find a new ring. I succeeded and ended up buying two from one of my favourite jewellers A Skulk of Foxes. I photographed it on one of my mums fabulous Me We ring-stands.

I also bought a wonderful pair of earrings from ena & albert

As well as a ring I also wanted to restock on some things including a lip balm from Seventh Tree Soaps. This is literally heaven in a tiny jar and smells divine.

Overall it was a great way to spend a friday night and I can't wait for next one in December.

Such fun!
